Witnessing Doesn’t Always Have To Be Tough

Witnessing Doesn’t Always Have To Be Tough

A local pastor told of a teenager at his church who was responsible for leading dozens of his friends to Christ.

How did he accomplish this great feat, you ask?

It’s actually pretty simple.

He invited schoolmates to come to church with him.
Most accepted the invitation, began attending regularly, and became involved in the many activities the church provided for the youth.

This teen was a great missionary by simply bringing his friends to church and then letting the teachers and pastors take it from there.

In explaining the young man’s amazing success at witnessing to his friends, the pastor said simply, “No one ever told him that witnessing was supposed to be hard!”

Indeed, it need not be.

There are a lot of simple, non-intimidating things you can do to help someone begin their journey toward Christ.

For instance, you can forward a devotion to a co-worker or friend when you see a message that may be particularly helpful to him or her.

Follow up with an email explaining that you get these devotionals each day and have found it a great way to begin the morning.
Chances are good that this friend will become a subscriber and begin each day bathed in the Word.

Pretty easy, isn’t it?
Really, witnessing doesn’t always have to be tough.
