This is the Hope We Cling to

Fear is spreading like wildfire.

We aren’t meant to operate in fear-
– so why were so many people paralyzed by it?

During this time-
I began an in-depth study of the Book of Daniel, and I came to this passage: “By smooth words he will turn to godlessness those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will display strength and take action.” Daniel 11:32.

I started thinking, Do we truly know God—what He loves, what He hates, what angers Him, what pleases Him?

Does our knowledge of God give us the ability to be anchored in His truth when the waves come crashing in—so we can stand strong in the storm, unwavering, as Daniel says?

How do we get to that point, where we know Him so deeply?
Through His Word, through prayer and through time with Him.

One of the Bible verses I learned with my children during our time at home was, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8.

I want to encourage you that no matter what you face in this life, if we know our God, we can display strength and we can take action.

That is the hope we cling to!

“Dear God, thank You for Your promise to be near us at all times. Help us to draw near to You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”
